VISION

Our purpose is to push for sustainable development in the African region in both conceptual and operational terms, until it is a universally instilled reflex. We do so by advising institutional ventures and striving to be the leading knowledge hub and action tank of sustainable development through transformational leadership.

MISSION

Today the global community is faced with a myriad of unprecedented challenges to which there is no easy fix. Climate change, large scale violence, inequality, or resource scarcity contradict the notion of success and prosperity. It is only through collective action that these colossal problems can be transformed. ResponsiBiz alleviates the overwhelming sentiment of being at odds or powerless by excavating your individual abilities for meaningful change without demanding your intentions be relinquished. Our mission is to engage entities facing up to such complex problems, not by providing the right answers...but asking the tough, yet right questions.

Founder
Sustainable Development, Inclusive Growth, Security, Leadership

alexa@responsibiz.com

"Impossible is not a fact, it's an attitude!"

A few years back Alexa alternately worked for financial institutions, governments, and NGOs such as Goldman Sachs, Radicant, Institute for Democratic Governance (IDEG), or the Africa Progress Panel in Geneva chaired by the former UN Secretary General, late Kofi Annan. She has lived and worked in Ghana, Kenya, South Sudan, Nigeria, Rwanda, Togo, the UK and USA where she observed that the three sectors (private, public, non-profit) were not making the most of their mutualalities. Determined to calibrate the outdated and oftentimes non-self-determined narratives she founded ResponsiBiz in 2020. In recognition of fallow synergies and misconceptions about durable options, Alexa works to pool expertise and encourage modernised action. After studying law and economics, Alexa earned a degree in Advanced Studies in International Development and Cooperation (ETH) and one in Corporate Social Responsibility (HSLU). She is currently a PhD student at King's College London, where she is researching the phenomenon of ineffective conflict intervention by mainstream peace actors and implications for the African region and beyond. Also a lecturer at the Swiss Distance University for Applied Sciences (FFHS), Alexa teaches Leadership, Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility. Her international exposure has firmed her expertise in development, security, and leadership. Juggling her various roles doesn't leave much time for hobbies. She loves sorting pens into rainbow colours but hates baking.

Sophia's the organization's financial switch point. She oversees and manages all our monetary administration with much patience and accuracy. Nothing slips her attention whereas she's strict but fair when handling the team's spending and orga's finances. In addition to her function as an accountant, she advises us in project budgeting.
